Reiki and Animals

Animals are intuitive, receptive to complementary medicine and some health insurers now recognise this. Many now offer cover for a growing range of treatments from acupuncture to homeopathy for health problems. There are many types of therapy such as Bach flower that are useful for helping to correct behavioural problems. Crystal healing, another potent healing process that can often be more effective when practised on animals than humans. Reiki, can also play a part in helping not only animals but owners to come to terms with a terminal illness or the loss of a much loved pet.

Animals are very receptive to healing and benefit greatly from it. Reiki healing is complementary to any veterinary treatment being beneficial in providing balance to the workings of the body and a general feeling of well-being. Animals respond tremendously to Reiki by becoming less stressed and more naturally relaxed.  It strengthens the nervous system relieving that stress and pain, particularly in animals that have been abused or abandoned.
